This class is recognized by the American Heart Association and offers training based on the current
standards of CPR.

- Recognition & treatment of adult cardiac emergencies & foreign body airway obstruction.

-Recognition & treatment of children and infant cardiac emergencies & foreign body airway obstruction.

-Understand the automated external defibrillator and how to use the AED in a cardiac arrest.

-Emergency Oxygen administration is a critical step in treating a severe or life-threatening illness or
injury.

-Administering emergency oxygen, rescue breathing and oxygen delivery devices.

-Importance of the CPR mask and proper use.

Facts about the AED

It can increase survival rates to as high as 75%

Duration of course: 4 - 5 hours.

Certification: 2 year certification upon practical Assessments.

Typical Audience: Lay rescuers who require a formal qualification for work or other
activities.

Upon completion of the course each student will receive a 2 year certification by the
American Heart Association.
